Ed.D · RN · LNC · CSN

Dr. Pendelton is an educator, nurse, and faith-rooted SEL voice writing for women — and the faith leaders, educators, counselors, caregivers, and community partners walking beside them. Her work draws on Black communal mourning traditions, lived church experience, education, nursing, and grief recovery.

For decades she has sat with sisters at funerals, in fellowship halls, in classrooms, and in hospital rooms — and noticed the same thing: the women holding everyone together had nowhere to put their own grief.

A voice for the women holding everyone else together.

Dr. Pendelton's work moves between sanctuaries, classrooms, hospital corridors, and women's ministry gatherings. In every space she has met the same woman: capable, faithful, exhausted, and quietly grieving something she has never been asked about.

The Grief Reset is the book she wishes every woman carrying grief in silence had been handed twenty years ago — and the book she now offers to women, ministries, schools, families, and the helping professionals serving alongside them.
